Hi, I'm Steven Ray Wriston.

I grew up in western Pennsylvania, where camping trips in the forests of Brookville sparked a lifelong fascination with hidden worlds and magic. Even as a teen was casting 'protection spells' to keep my family safe from dark forces while we were in our tents.

I've always loved stories filled with magic, adventure, and characters searching for where they truly belong. Those passions eventually became Kids of Kazumeth: The Roots of Kaluna, the first book in my planned four-book YA fantasy series, praised by Kirkus Reviews for its layered storytelling, emotional depth, and imaginative worldbuilding.

I now live in sunny Miami, Florida, where I'm hard at work on the next installment in the Kids of Kazumeth series. When I'm not writing, I'm usually exploring parks, catching a theater performance, or catering to the endless demands of my senior dog, Onyx, and my mischievous rescue cat, Grayson.
